RV Motorhome Flat Tire Tip
You should never attempt to change a flat tire on a motorhome yourself. If you experience a flat tire while traveling, call a professional commercial tire service to come and assist you.
Motorhomes are extremely heavy and require specialized heavy-duty hydraulic jacks, torque multipliers, and cribbing to change tires safely roadside. A single mounted commercial motorhome tire and wheel assembly can weigh well in excess of 100 pounds—which is precisely why chassis manufacturers do not supply jacks or lug wrenches with motorhomes.

It is far safer to rely on a professional RV roadside assistance plan (such as Good Sam Emergency Roadside Assistance or Coach-Net). Having tire changes, towing, and roadside repairs covered by a dedicated policy is a true bargain and prevents severe injury on the side of the highway.
